Hello and welcome to Football London live coverage of Luton Town v Chelsea from Kenilworth Road. The Blues visit the Premier League's smallest stadium in what will be their last game on the pitch for the club in 2023.

Chelsea are looking for their 16th and final win of the year, with 13 draws and 24 defeats on the board in all competitions. Mauricio Pochettino led his side to a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace during the week as they bounced back from their defeat at Wolverhampton Wanderers on Christmas Eve.

Goals from Mykhailo Mudric and Noni Maduic ensured the Blues secured a much-needed three points at Stamford Bridge, but it is their form on the road that has been a cause for concern in recent times. Chelsea have lost their last four matches away from home and will be looking to keep that right against Luton.

The Hatters have proved stubborn opposition for some of the Premier League's best sides at Kenilworth Road. Rob Edwards' side drew with Liverpool, and were narrowly beaten by champions Manchester City and last season's runners-up Arsenal in Bedfordshire.

Chelsea will need to show some fighting spirit at Luton if they are to secure the three points this afternoon - and Pochettino knows that. With that being said, you can follow all the action live from Kenilworth Road with Bobby Vincent and Scott Trotter.

There was much talk coming out of Chelsea's 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening. Luckily for you, Bobby Vincent was on hand to narrow it down to just three.

Bobby talks about Chelsea's form at Stamford Bridge and what it means for the rest of the season, how Christopher Nkunku is proving Mauricio Pochettino right and Nony Madueke's strong message to the club ahead of the January transfer window.

Chelsea's last match of 2023 ended with the Blues picking up a much-needed three points away to Crystal Palace. The hosts took an early lead at Stamford Bridge through Mykhailo Mudrik but were pegged back by Michael Ollis just before the half-time break.

Mauricio Pochettino's side were all about pressing in the second period but again were largely wasteful in front of goal. However, second-half substitute Noni Maduke then stepped up and secured three points for Chelsea in the London derby.

"I think we had chances to score, and a few more goals, but I wasn't so happy to concede in the last minute [of the first half] because it was a huge impact for the team," Pochettino told reporters. After the game. “But I think in the second half we started well again and could go and play a bit more.
